In Nan’s day it was acceptable to go to the beach and collect shells. Often they were turned into treasures like the box above which I have inherited.
Its beautiful but…..as our shorelines and ocean are being depleted it is recommended that we leave nature where it belongs, at its home site.
Instead we can make a difference by cleaning up our shores and having fun at the same time.
Can you make a memories box by collecting little bits and bobs of plastic and other man made rubbish off the beach?
Glue your collected treasures onto a small strong cardboard or wooden box.
